No, Indian citizens do not require an Inner Line Permit (ILP) or any special permits to enter Meghalaya. Meghalaya is open for all Indian tourists, making it an easy and accessible destination for your Meghalaya group tour.
2. What is the best time to book and go on a Meghalaya group tour?
While Meghalaya is beautiful year-round, the best time for a Meghalaya group tour is generally from October to May.

- March to May (Spring/Early Summer): The weather is comfortable, with blooming flora. It’s great for outdoor activities before the heavy monsoon arrives.
- Monsoon (June to September): Meghalaya is renowned for its heavy rainfall during these months, making waterfalls spectacular. However, treks can be slippery, and some roads might be challenging. If you love the monsoon, it’s a unique experience, but be prepared for rain and potential itinerary adjustments.
